Melbourne born musician Liz Stringer has become one of Australia’s most admired and versatile songwriters and instrumentalists over a 12 year, 6 album career. Stringer is a venerated guitarist and vocalist, her notoriously powerful live performances and melodically rich, story-based songs proving a potent force. To celebrate her 6th studio album release, Liz is embarking on a special and unique solo tour, stopping off at Archies Creek this September.

With a baritone that is resonant and expressive well beyond his years, Fenn’s songwriting forms a snapshot of his recent past; brushes with heartache, depression, world-weariness and uncertainty, and often lightened with compassionate observation, love and redemption. Having knocked out audiences at Castlemaine's Theatre Royal and St Kilda's Memo Music Hall in April, Hugo Race and his long-time band The True Spirit head to Archies Creek this November to play their sensational and unique interpretation of The Doors’ seminal final album in its entirety. As leader of St Kilda icons, The Wreckery and a foundation member of Nick Cave’s Bad Seeds, Race knows well the impact of "L.A. Woman" on Melbourne's post-punk scene, and these performances are a genuine labour of love. A must see show!

Music Victoria award winner Matt Joe Gow and his Trio bring a distinctive brand of Americana music to Archies Creek Hotel for the very first time this November. The show will be intimate and acoustic and will find Matt Joe Gow in trio form with long time guitarist Andy Pollock and duet partner Katya Harrop; and in this setting the trio will launch Matt's brand new single. This will be the debut performance of the song from his upcoming album, the follow up to the Music Victoria Award Winning album "Break Rattle And Roll". Karma County foreshadowed the acoustic roots movement that has become an essential element of contemporary Australian music with songs like the evergreen Postcard. They have waltzed their way into the hearts and minds of music fans, and critics, all over the world. Drawing on sounds from the past and present of pop and rock, George Carroll Wilson’s solo project Pollyman delivers power-pop hooks and retro looks, with defiant and polished songwriting and performances. Inspired by such artists as Jeff Buckley and David Bowie, Pollyman’s distinctive songwriting and exhilarating live performances exude a powerful blend of rock and roll and the soulful side of pop which has already earned them fans like You Am I’s Tim Rogers as well as supporting Cedric Burnside and Canned Heat and being the most highly requested act on Delivered Live. Pollyman features George Carroll Wilson with his explosive guitar playing and acrobatic vocals, accompanied by Alister Hull supplying melodious and dynamic bass playing and Fenn Wilson keeping the beat on the drums with thunderous energy.

Emily Barker is an award-winning singer-songwriter, best known as the writer and performer of the theme to the BBC's hugely successful crime drama Wallander starring Kenneth Branagh. She has released music as a solo artist as well as with various bands including The Red Clay Halo, Vena Portae and Applewood Road (with whom she released a remarkable album of original songs recorded live around a single microphone, dubbed “flawless” by The Sunday Times). Her latest piece of work, 'A Dark Murmuration of Words', takes Barker’s clear, expressive vocals and warm acoustic aesthetic and subtly shifts her sound in the direction of contemporaries such as Laura Marling and Phoebe Bridgers.

JULIA JACKLIN (SOLO)

Jacklin has released a 7” for the treasured Sub Pop label, an original Christmas song and a Björk cover with RVG in the 15 months since Covid began, but now she is back on tour from April 2022 for a series of rare solo performances, in which she’ll draw on songs from across her entire catalogue and give fans some never before heard songs.
